Here comes summer! This is a perfect opportunity to learn a project to take on the road...literally. Road trips, camping excursions, ball games, dance lessons, evenings on the porch-summer vacation hand work! Being away from your machine doesn't mean you have to stop sewing.
Come learn how to do English Paper Piecing in a Grandmothers Flower Garden pattern. Come to class to learn the techniques. If you want to do a small kit, those will be available for a fee of $10.00.
All you need to bring is:
*Your favorite hand sewing needle OR a sharp applique needle.
* A neutral color of thread that blends with your fabric scraps of choice.
* (6) 3" squares of one fabric, and (1) 3" square of a contrasting fabric. This will make one flower.
*Small sewing scissors
* One glue stick (any brand, just your typical school glue stick).
If you are interested in doing a small project (5" x7") hexie picture frame, kits will be available for purchase at the shop the day of the class. The kit will include the hexagon paper shapes and a 2 1/2" mini charm pack. You will need to purchase a 5"x7" picture frame on your own. You can do this before class if desired, or purchase after you have completed your project.
